Dear Mr. Mangiacopra:
In reply to your letter of February 6, 1978 I
regret to advise that we have no records of a treasure
discovery that occured in February 1888 by Lorenzo Mears.
However I do suggest that you write to the Public
Library, Accomac, Virginia 23301 and they may have some
information that may be of some help to you%;B and if you
you are ever on The Shore please feel free to stop in at
the Public Library.
I regret that we have no further information that
would be of any help to you.
Sincerely yours,

  1. And one of your videos you mentioned the state of Maryland but you have nothing listed in box 5 from the state of Maryland and it was one of Blackbeard’s places

    1. Yes, Maryland is one of the 11 states on which there are NOT any folders in this box. The other ten states that are missing are Alabama, Arkansas, Colorado, Iowa, Kentucky, Missouri, North Dakota, Oklahoma, West Virginia, and Wisconsin.
